Women’s Literacy

With literacy rates at 2-3%, women in the Musahar caste need consistent teaching over an extended period. Since 2017 one of our leaders and his family moved into this village. Soon after this his wife has began a literacy program. We know that literacy often leads to opportunity. During the first months of the pandemic lock down, we were able to supply food to 100’s of families in this village who were unable to work or buy food. We are providing spiritual, mental, and physical care for the least able and most needy. We are currently renting a building, but have acquired land and now have a plan for a building in this village to be used as an orphanage, a school room, and a community meeting room. The land/building is currently funded at about 35% of the $82,000 needed.

3/2024 Update: The building is built and almost totally paid for!
